Teacher/Principal Ying Li
Ms. Ying Li graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music with a bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Dance. Since then she has been dedicated to dance education, choreography, and performing arts and won many national and international awards. Ms. Li taught dance, choreographed and directed shows in Dalian Children’s Palace, and directed children’s dance programs and live shows in Dalian TV Station. She also took charge of the training and performance in Dalian Model School, the first model school in China. In 2001, the dance Spring Flower she choreographed earned a Golden Award in the National Youth Talent Competition. In 2006 she won the Outstanding Instructor Award in Sino-Japan-South Korea International Youth Arts Competition. Since 2009 Ying has been teaching dance in MN. She is the first and the only Chinese dance instructor in The Cowles Center’s Distance Learning Program in Minneapolis. In 2018, her dance team won the Most Energetic Team Award and Platinum Award in the American Final of the International Taoli Cup.
李滢毕业于沈阳音乐学院舞蹈系获学士学位，一直从事舞蹈教育、演出和编创工作。她多次在全国和国际舞蹈比赛中荣获舞蹈创作和杰出教师的大奖。2009年，李滢加入明尼苏达州CAAM-CDT舞蹈学校任教，并担任罗切斯特中文学校舞蹈老师，培养了许多优秀舞者，编导了许多优秀舞蹈，树立起很高的声誉。她多次担任社区团体舞蹈编导，2012至2015年，她连续四年与国家一级作曲家张鹰老师合作，为明华合唱团编导音乐情景剧，反响热烈，传为佳话。2018年，她的学生荣获海外桃李杯决赛的最高奖白金奖等多个奖项；2019年新校建校之际，再次在桃李杯地区大赛中荣获白金奖。
